Tier 1 – Entrepreneur
Tier 1 – Entrepreneur scheme – this scheme is suitable for a person wishing to and being able to invest into the UK economy at least £200,000 by taking up or starting a new UK based business. You will need to get involved into the business either as a director of the company or a self-employed person.
Applicant can obtain a loan in a British bank due to make £ 1 million investment if he has assets with estimated cost not less than £ 2 million (cash and assets belonging to the spouse or parents may also be taken into account when assessing the capital of the candidate). In this case, our partners – British banks can provide £ 1 million loan needed for the category investor. Visa Entrepreneur (Tier 1 Entrepreneur)
After 12 months of receipt of permanent resident status there is the possibility of filing an application for naturalization (citizenship of the UK) provided a sufficient knowledge of English, permanent residence in the UK and absence of outstanding criminal penalties.
In order for you to come to the UK or switch into Entrepreneur’s category, if you are in the UK already and permitted to switch, you will have to apply under so called Points Based System and score minimum 75 points for main attributes, as well as 10 points for your English Language skills and 10 points for your ability to meet maintenance requirements. You will not need a ‘sponsor’ in the UK and will not need to show that you have accommodation available to you here upon arrival.
A successful applicant will need to show that he or she has at least £200,000 of his/her own money available for investing into a new or existing business in the United Kingdom. The money should belong to you or to any member of your family or a third party, but you will need to demonstrate that the money is available to you and provide a declaration, from every contributor, confirming that the money is available to you or the business that you are going to invest into, together with a confirmation from a legal adviser or a lawyer confirming validity of such declaration.
The money should be held in one or more regulated financial institutions (regulated by the ‘home regulator’ being an official financial regulatory body in the country where the financial institution operates and the money is located, like the Financial Services Authority in the UK).
You must also demonstrate that the money is freely transferable to the United Kingdom and able to be converted to pounds sterling. In comparison with Tier -1 Investor, to successfully apply under this category you should also demonstrate that you have sufficient English language skills.
- You come from a country where English is the main language
- You have passed an English language test at or above Level C1 of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework for Language Learning
- You have successfully completed a degree course which was taught in English
You will also have to meet a maintenance requirement. If you are already in the United Kingdom and are applying for permission to stay here as an Entrepreneur then you should have at least £800 in available funds, but if you are applying from outside the United Kingdom, you must have at least £2800 in your account. The money should be available to you and should have been held in your account for at least 90 days before the date your application is made.
Should you wish to bring your dependants (spouse and minor children) to the UK too, you will need to show extra money available to your family. If you are applying from outside the United Kingdom or if you have been present in the United Kingdom for less than 12 months, you should add £1,600 extra per each of your dependent. If you applying from within the UK and have been here for over 12 months, then you must have additional £533 for each dependent you wish to stay here with you.
You can come to the UK as Sole Representative of an overseas firm without work permit to register a branch for an overseas parent company and intend to work full time as a representative of the company. You are entitle for initial 2 years visa and further 3 years extension if services are still required. No requirement to show funds as the parent company is the sponsor.
You will qualify for Entrepreneur Visa if you can invest 200,000 pounds in the UK economy. You do not need any sponsor and the only requirement is to show legal funds in your bank account. You are granted 3 years visa then extended for 2 more years. If you can invest one million pound in the UK economy then you can come as an Investor.
You do not have to show funds and the funds can be in multiple names you can invest the money in property and obtain mortgage on it. No English language requirement for this category. Sole Representative, Entrepreneur and Investor qualify for family visa and as soon you enter the UK then you are entitled to the facilities like free medical, free children education and all other government facilities provided to British Nationals.
The only strict requirement is that you must be involved in any kind of business and paying UK taxes. You must live minimum of 6 months every year in the UK for 5 years and if you have complied with other requirement then you are entitled for British Nationality. We can prepare all the above applications, submit to the respective embassy and liaise with your case worker in the embassy. As these visa come under points based system we can be certain of the out come but we do not give any guarantee that visa will be granted.
You can bring your dependents (a spouse and child/children under the age of 18) to the UK too. During your presence in the UK your minor children will have the right to study here. Once you are in the UK, you will have to invest not less than £200,000 in cash directly into one or more businesses in the United Kingdom within 3 months from the date of your arrival, if you are coming to the UK from abroad, or from grant of your leave to remain , if you are in the UK already.

- register a new business in which you are a director or
- register as a director of an existing business.
and continue being engaged in business activities throughout your stay here. In addition to this your business should create the equivalent of at least two new full-time jobs for persons settled in the United Kingdom. If you are going to take over or join an existing business or businesses, your investment should result in a net increase in the employment provided by the business or businesses for persons settled in the United Kingdom by creating the equivalent of at least two new full-time jobs.
Your initial UK visa / leave to remain will be granted for 3 years, which can be subsequently extended for 2 more years. After you have spent legally in the UK over 5 years you will have the right to apply for permanent residence (settlement) here
